This is a story about loss and living.
The protagonist loses everything but survives. Every day he lived was an answer to those who died. The further he traveled, the more he carried. His telepathy ability makes him destined to be lonely, but it also forces him to form bonds with others - those contracts, those waiting, those things that will eventually belong to him.
