The Dragon Vein of Jiezhou

[Inspired by true local legends. The characters’ emotions draw on real-life experiences, and the mystical arts are based on authentic Daoist texts.]

At the scene of a car crash, no one saw the two shadows carrying chains.

Only Chen Nian saw them.

It was the first time he was so scared he wet himself.

Later, the talisman went missing, and strange “mooing” sounds began coming from underground, as if something down there were struggling to breathe.

A dying man, his face disfigured beyond recognition, told Chen Nian:

“That’s a dragon’s roar. There’s a dragon beneath your feet that isn’t quite dead. It’s waiting for you.”

All Chen Nian ever wanted was to live an ordinary life.

But the dragon vein chose him.

His brother gave him one of his lives.

His master passed down all his books and secrets.

And a young woman who had come from a thousand miles away wanted only to see her father one more time.

As they drove the Dragon-Sealing Spikes one by one into the earth,

Chen Nian knew he could no longer run away this time.
