Xiao Yuan traveled to Shigui Village, a widow's village on the South River Road of the Great Xia Dynasty, and was rescued by Yu Niang and Xiao Zhu. He used his knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine to treat villagers, make fishing traps and bamboo waterways to improve their lives, refine salt from harmful salt mines, and invent new stirrups. During this period, he got to know everyone in the Mo family, got involved in a dispute with Beiyou, and received a reward from the emperor. Finally, he went to Kyoto to receive the reward under the farewell of the villagers, and started a new chapter in his life.
