A Clichéd Romance

(Rekindled love + devoted affection + a groveling pursuit to win her back + bittersweet tension)

Six years ago, Sheng Wan traded a marriage alliance for her mother's freedom, crushing Lu Zhengsen's sincere love with her own hands.

From then on, Lu Zhengsen became a scar in her heart.

Six years later, she has made a name for herself as a fashion designer. Her first job after returning to China is designing a wedding dress for Lu Zhengsen's fiancée.

The once-envied campus sweethearts meet again, with nowhere to turn.

Six years after their breakup, rumors are swirling about Sheng Wan's upcoming marriage to the second son of the Xu family.

At the Xu family patriarch's birthday banquet, Lu Zhengsen hears the two families finalize the wedding date with his own ears.

That night, Lu Zhengsen, usually so calm and self-controlled, drinks himself into a stupor.

That very night, he prepares to go abroad and force Sheng Wan to marry him.

But Sheng Wan comes back.

To marry... someone else.
