Synopsis of The Yin-Yang Diary of a Rookie Courier (Under 500 Words, Classic Web-Novel Style)
Ma Mingyang, a lowly courier with a third-rate college diploma, takes a strange night shift in the old district to make ends meet. He accidentally delivers a package to the nonexistent haunted house at No. 444 and is forcibly bound to the Underworld’s delivery service. Given the underworld employee number 9527, he sets out on a life-and-death courier route between the realms of the living and the dead.
By day, he’s an ordinary wage worker. By night, he becomes an underworld deliveryman, delivering lingering obsessions, easing resentment, entering haunted houses, and venturing into the netherworld. A bowl of white rice feeds a starving ghost, while a single doll brings an eighty-year wait to an end. His beginner-level Yin-Yang Sight, Soul-Awakening Bell, and the three rules for staying alive in the Underworld are his only means of survival.
From a little ghost girl from the Republican era and a vengeful spirit in red to Bai Wuchang, the Underworld’s Yin Marshal; from stolen offerings and a ghost-market competition to the dark secret behind reincarnation, Chen Yang unexpectedly awakens the Zhu You bloodline through one perilous delivery after another. He discovers that his parents didn’t die in a car accident: they were silenced for investigating a mysterious organization called the Afterlife Society.
Underworld office politics are rife with undercurrents, the Reincarnation Bureau hides a shocking conspiracy, and the rift between Yin and Yang is on the verge of breaking apart. From a trembling rookie, he grows step by step into a key traveler between the two realms. He wields deliveries as a blade, uses obsessions as a bridge, extends his life through underworld merit, and protects the world with his bloodline.
When couriers across the globe become a hundred thousand shooting stars and the realms of Yin and Yang teeter on the brink of collapse, Chen Yang finally understands: what he delivers is never just a package. It is the lingering obsessions of the dead, the good and evil of the human world, the balance between Yin and Yang, and the last hope capable of saving the world.
One Underworld order, one path to survival between Yin and Yang, one ordinary courier: with a commitment to deliver at all costs, he takes on a calamity threatening all three realms!
