Su Chen was awakened by a roar that shook the ground.
He sat up from the sofa suddenly, his head still a little dazed.
Last night, he stayed up until four in the morning to rush for a painting order for a model, and almost fell asleep on the sofa.
"An earthquake?"
He shook his groggy head and held his forehead, trying to see clearly what was going on around him.
But the next second, his whole body froze.
The sight before him made him wonder if he was still dreaming.
The living room that was originally familiar and warm now became strange and huge.
The single sofa he usually sat on now looked like a cliff made of cloth and sponge, and he was sitting on the edge of this "cliff". The flat tabletop of the coffee table not far away extends out like a vast tawny plain. The chandelier on the ceiling exudes soft light, like an artificial sun hanging in the sky.
And that roaring sound that made his heart tremble was coming from the other end of the "plain".
"Buzz-buzz-buzz-"
The sound came from far to near, carrying a disgusting smell.
Su Chen lowered his body subconsciously and squinted his eyes to look at the source of the sound.
A... Fly?
No, that's not right.
That thing did have the appearance of a fly, but its size was simply appalling.
Its body is larger than a small car, and every time its jointed limbs covered with black bristles move, the wooden top of the coffee table makes an overwhelming "creep" sound. The pair of huge compound eyes, made up of countless tiny hexagons, shone with a strange dark red light and scanned everything around them indifferently.
