I’m Mortal, Yet One Sword Strike Shatters the Gods

I, Born Mortal, Slay the Gods with One Sword

The heavens split apart. Gods descended, and humanity became their slaves.

Three years ago, Ye Chen’s father refused to kneel and was struck down by a “god.” Three years later, the seventeen-year-old blacksmith is driven to the brink and falls into the legendary Sword Ruins.

He is born mortal, with no spiritual apertures or talent, and cannot cultivate. Yet he is the only person in thirty thousand years who can enter the Sword Ruins.

Deep within the Sword Ruins, ten thousand swords pay homage. A nameless black sword that has waited for thirty thousand years has finally found its master.

“A mortal’s sword does not strike down a god’s body. It strikes down the god’s throne.”

“Gods exist because all living beings fear them. When no one fears them, they perish.”

When he returns with sword in hand and shatters the first divine servant, he discovers that these so-called gods are nothing but creatures that feed on mortal lives. They watch from the heavens, waiting for humanity to grow ripe before harvesting it.

From Donghai City to the summit of the divine realm, from standing alone to being followed by countless people, he carries that unsharpened iron sword and climbs step by step toward the heavens.

The God King says, “I have lived for a hundred thousand years. What could you possibly use to kill me?”

Ye Chen says, “This mortal life of mine.”

When the sword rises, the gods tremble. When it falls, heaven and earth are clear.
