One Slap Upended the Martial World

Lin Que, a modern-day overworked office drone, stays up late reading feel-good power fantasies, then dies suddenly of a heart attack. He wakes up in the Great Yan Dynasty, in the body of a good-for-nothing young master from the Lin family, a martial arts clan. From the start, his fiancée publicly breaks off their engagement, his cousin beats him so badly he is gravely injured, and his family disowns and abandons him. As he lies on the brink of death, he unexpectedly becomes bound to the Heavenly Dao Slap System. Its ironclad rule: There is no problem in the world that can't be solved with a slap! No matter how powerful the opponent, if one slap won't do it, give them two. From then on, the martial world gains a legend who plays by no rules whatsoever. With his mighty slapping technique, Lin Que slaps some sense into his snobbish family, sends arrogant prodigies flying, leaves sanctimonious martial arts elders dumbfounded, and beats the domineering leaders of the demonic path into submission. Laughing and cursing his way through the jianghu, he unravels schemes and makes close friends. He uncovers the truth behind his father's framing by the seven great orthodox sects, and unlocks the secret behind the System: it is the embodiment of the Heavenly Dao's resentment toward the hypocritical schemes of the Three Realms. In the end, Lin Que slaps apart the false divine essence of the Heavenly Dao, which sought to control the Three Realms, and ushers in a bright new age. He becomes the “Slap Venerable,” a figure feared and exasperated by the entire jianghu.
