The bells of Daleiyin Temple have been ringing for three days and three nights.
The sound of the bell is unlike anything in the human world. Every time it is struck, a circle of golden light fills the water of the Eight Treasures Merit Pool in the Western Paradise. The lotus flowers in the pool bloom and wither with the sound. In the time between blooming and withering, it is a whole day and night. Three thousand Buddhas, five hundred Arhats, eight Bodhisattvas, and four Vajras all appeared in golden form, sitting layer upon layer in the void, reflecting the dome of the Lingshan Mountain like a glass world.
