In "Yugang", a border city shrouded in thick fog all year round, there is a mysterious pawnshop that only opens at midnight - Mirror World. It does not accept gold, silver or jewelry, only "things": a memory that you want to forget, an unrealized regret, an innate fear, or even a certain personality of your own.
Everyone who walks into a pawn shop will hear the boss's warning before making a transaction: "You will no longer own the things you pawn. But you must walk the road to the future by yourself."
The novel tells a story about redemption, truth and obsession through three relatively independent but interconnected sections.
