Heir to the Wind

In 2001, Chinese sprinting was at rock bottom.

No one believed a Chinese athlete could break 10.20 seconds.

Chen Feng, a boy from a small town, had terrible form and was plagued by injuries.

After a year of hard training, he still couldn't break eleven seconds and was written off as nothing more than a perpetual background character.

Then the [Heir of the Wind System] bonded with him.

No teleportation, no fantasy powers, no cheats.

It does just one thing: turns rough, self-taught technique into world-class sprinting form.

Lower the starting position by 3 cm, and gain a burst of speed;

reduce arm swing by 1 degree, and double his strength in the final stretch;

misalign his foot strike? The System corrects it instantly;

an injury about to flare up? The System warns him in advance.

From the rusted barbells at No. 2 Middle School,

to the track at the city games, where all eyes are on him;

from the county track, he storms into the provincial team;

from an underdog on the provincial team, he surges into the national team.

The stronger the opponent, the fiercer he becomes;

the older the record, the more determined he is to break it!

When he stands atop Asia,

when he takes his place on the Olympic track,

the whole world will finally see:

the wind has always had an heir.

And this time, that heir belongs to China.
