Sighs from the Clock Tower at Midnight

On the first day transfer student Xiaofeng arrives in Wutong Town, his gaze is caught by the ancient clock tower that has stood silent in the town center for a hundred years.

He came here to escape the hustle and bustle, but on his very first night, he hears a sound that does not belong to this world.

In the dead of night, a sigh as faint as smoke cuts through the darkness. It has no source, yet pierces straight to the heart. Everyone tells him it's just wind blowing through a passage, the creak of an old building, or an outsider's overactive imagination.

Only Xiaofeng knows it isn't the wind.

Because whenever the sigh sounds, the clock tower's enormous, rust-covered minute hand gives an eerie little shudder.

At 3:17 a.m., the insects fall silent, the lights go out, and the entire town sinks into sleep. Only he and the clock tower share a secret no one believes.

With each shudder of the minute hand, the town grows quieter.

With each sigh, he draws one step closer to the truth.

When the silent clock tower begins to whisper, those who hear it can never again pretend they know nothing.
