My Dad Sure Knows How to Give Compliments

How long has it been since someone sincerely praised you?

Lin Xing was once a dazzling rising star in the business world. Then, overnight, his partner stabbed him in the back, his wife betrayed him, his company went bankrupt, and he was saddled with debt, falling from the clouds into the mud.

Abandoned by everyone, with all looking on and laughing, he thought his life was completely over.

It wasn't until he returned to his hometown in a wretched state that he realized:

The whole world cares about how high he flies. Only his father cares whether he can stand firm.

No inspirational speeches, no lofty principles.

Just a gentle word when he was at his lowest, most miserable, and most ready to give up:

You haven't fallen apart. That alone makes you amazing.

Those words dragged him back just as he was about to sink to the bottom.

The best comeback in this world isn't getting rich overnight.

It's having someone tell you:

Even if you have nothing, you still deserve to be praised wholeheartedly at least once.
