The Great Ming Chronicles of Strange Cases and Heavenly Punishments

In the Yongle era, under Jinling’s prosperous surface, dark currents swirl. Shen Wang, a former undercover agent of the Imperial Guard, is promoted to the newly established Celestial Punishment Guard after the bizarre “Smiling Corpse” case, where he is tasked with investigating uncanny and supernatural crimes. Blood-red talismans, a wealthy merchant who died unjustly, a nursery rhyme sung in the dead of night, a ghostly cauldron at the bottom of the lake… Every strange murder points to the Netherworld Order, an evil cult dormant for many years, and its shocking plot to steal the nation’s fate and topple the dynasty.
