The Best Possible Outcome

Someone in the System wrote a report declaring my death the optimal outcome.

They never asked me.

So I broadcast it throughout the entire building, making sure everyone knew it existed.

The Inspectorate arrived. The demon tide arrived. The Nine Luminaries Council arrived.

Come on, then. As it happens, I have the last AI on Earth.

It can see who’s writing your fate for you.

I can see every one of your scripts.
