Honghuang: Why Are You, Tathagata, Panicking Over an Audit?

[Primordial World and Journey to the West + Anti-Corruption in the Bureaucracy + Auditing the Books + Dimensional Overkill + Hilarious Nonsense]

“Celestial Official Zhang, we Buddhists funded the Journey to the West project ourselves. Please stop investigating us!”

Looking down at Guanyin, who was kneeling before him, Zhang Tianming gave a cold laugh.

“Funded it yourselves? Don’t try that nonsense on me!”

“For the eighty-one trials, you claimed 80 billion in Heavenly Dao merit funds!”

“And what did we get? The White Bone Demon was an unlicensed temp worker whose wages were three months overdue!”

“Red Boy was a nepotism hire you kept on the books. He took up a spot and did no work!”

“Did the Flaming Mountain pass its fire-resistance and environmental safety inspection?”

“And that giant softshell turtle in the Tongtian River doesn’t even have a proper ferry operator’s license!”

“Of the 80 billion in funding, all Tang Sanzang got was a purple-gold alms bowl!”

“That old rascal Tathagata siphoned off the project funds to speculate in Mount Lingshan real estate, didn’t he?”

“I’m here to investigate crooked officials like you, who think you’re above the law!”

“Go seal off the Thunderclap Monastery’s account books!”

“Tell Tathagata to report to Heaven tomorrow afternoon for a disciplinary investigation!”
