At first, Chen Xuyan was acting on a whim. Lin Qingying was beautiful, and she always seemed down, like nothing mattered to her. When Chen Xuyan asked, “Do you want to date?” Lin Qingying said yes without a second thought.
Their relationship was a game. Chen Xuyan just wanted to know what being in love felt like. She didn’t know why Lin Qingying had agreed, and she didn’t care. When she got bored, they’d end it.
Until she saw Lin Qingying again at work.
Her mother said she ought to meet some new people. Even if it wasn’t for romance, she could just make friends. Lin Qingying spotted Chen Xuyan immediately: the woman who was always smiling, seemed deeply interested in everyone, and got along with just about anyone.
She thought this person was a good fit. They could each get what they wanted.
But when Chen Xuyan said they should break up, Lin Qingying felt only a stab of pain.

2. I don’t like arguing. I’ll delete misogynistic slurs and comments that pick fights, so please stop reading if this isn’t your cup of tea.
3. There may be ex-girlfriends and side couples. There are no fixed pursuer-and-pursued roles, and the concepts of purity or sexual experience don’t apply.
4. This is still a slice-of-life story. My writing is amateurish, and the plot is made up as I go along.
