You Asked Me to Do Research, So I Started the Interstellar Age

In the year 2187 of the Interstellar Era, he detonated the spacetime folding pod. When he opened his eyes again, he was back in 2024.

Lithography machines were being choked off, chips were under embargo, and the whole nation was holding its breath.

Meanwhile, his mind contained the complete technology tree of an interstellar civilization.

A scrapped lithography machine? He takes it apart overnight, rewrites the algorithms, and sends the yield soaring to 98%!

A white-haired academic bangs the table and demands to know where he got the algorithm. Without looking up, he replies, “I wrote it myself. Next up: quantum communications.”

Enemy hackers steal his data? Perfect. Let them swallow this fake log and laugh for three more days.

Someone steals the parameters for a curvature engine to build a spaceship? He starts it up, it explodes, and the whole world watches live.

“Steal my technology? Pay your tuition first.”

He open-sources a 7 nm process package and publishes a physics white paper, flipping the table on the technological hegemony game.

By the time satellites around the world are pointed at that stretch of wasteland in northwest China, he’s already welding the keel of a starship.

You want him to do research? He plans to send all of humanity into the sea of stars.
