In 2025, while Chinese submarine engineer Lin Yuan was performing a secret mission in the South China Sea, the ship encountered a time and space storm while passing through the Devil's Triangle and traveled to 1889. He woke up as an overseas student sent by the Westernization faction of the Qing Dynasty and relied on his knowledge of the future to survive surrounded by foreign powers. In order to escape the flames of war and find a way home, he led a multinational team of exiles to discover ancient ruins under the Antarctic ice cap, and used it as a base to build a submarine that transcended all times - the "Ghost." But the ship has attracted not only the pursuers of this era - but also alien beings that have slept deep in the ice for hundreds of millions of years, as well as forces from the future that are also eyeing this "impossible existence" submarine.
