The pairings are up to you. It's sort of sweet, but not really, and there are no fixed main characters. Anyway, everyone will die sooner or later, one way or another.
There are so many plotlines that even the author can't be bothered to reread them...
The angst will get much worse later on... Whether it's any good depends entirely on Yuan Buyi's emo level that day.
