The Great Cataclysm strikes without warning, and alien warships blot out the sky. Ma Liang, a struggling writer standing on a rooftop, ready to jump, faints after letting out a heartfelt “Holy crap!” When he wakes, the world order has collapsed, spiritual energy, or dark energy, has returned, and humanity has awakened powerful martial abilities closely tied to the jobs they held before the disaster. A chubby chef flipping food on the street can conjure a super fireball, a butcher draws his knife with armor-piercing energy surrounding it, and even a delivery guy has awakened the ability to shrink distances. Then Ma Liang discovers that his ability is the [Genesis Editor]! While everyone else is struggling in hand-to-hand combat, he whips out the mechanical keyboard he carries everywhere and types at lightning speed:
[Environment Reconstruction]: Type “thick fog rises, so dense you can’t see your hand in front of you” and blind the enemies with a debuff!
[Dimensional Illusion]: Drag alien beasts into one of his abandoned novels and make them suffer the torments of the Nine Hells in the protagonist’s place!
[Character Summoning]: Can’t win? Just summon the female emperor from one of his novels, whose combat power is off the charts but who’s furious because he left the story unfinished, and let her fight for him. (Though the first thing she might do after showing up is beat him up for abandoning the novel.)
From a weakling who only wants enough to eat, to a crafty type who hides behind his teammates and “casts spells” by furiously typing, then to a savior who conquers a city, founds a “sect,” and takes on the alien fleet, Ma Liang types out an entirely new era for humanity.
