In the autumn of 2020, veteran Lu Yiming and recent graduate Lin Qi became roommates in a shared house in Changyang, Beijing. One is a taciturn fitness coach who speaks with actions, and the other is a gentle and ignorant intern who drifts to Beijing for his dream. They started with a bowl of instant noodles, exchanged thoughts on the sticky notes on the refrigerator, and passed each other during the morning rush hour on the Fangshan Line. Beijing is big, big enough to hold thousands of lonely souls; Beijing is also small, small enough that two strangers can warm each other in the moonlight on the eleventh floor. This is a story about encounter, companionship and staying together, dedicated to all young people working hard to live in big cities.
