Hearts Meet in Harmony

In the seventh year of the Jinghe era, on the day she came of age, an imperial decree arrived out of the blue:

Pei Qinghe, daughter of a loyal and upright family, was betrothed to Zhao Yi, the eldest prince whom she had never met, and named crown princess.

Born in the wilderness and raised in the gentle breeze, she wanted only a love freely returned and scorned a marriage arranged by imperial power.

In a fit of anger, she traded her bridal finery for a short tunic and ran away from the wedding, venturing into the jianghu alone.

When danger struck at Heifeng Ridge, a gentle, refined young man came to her rescue.

She fell for him at first sight and secretly gave him her heart, believing their meeting was a match made in heaven.

She had no idea that the graceful young man before her, who went by the name Gu Yi,

was none other than the eldest prince Zhao Yi, the man whose betrothal she had risked everything to escape.

One had fled the wedding, the other had defied the imperial decree.

Traveling together under assumed names, they gradually fell for each other.

When their identities were finally revealed, they realized:

After all their twists and turns, the person fate had chosen for them had been by their side all along.
