When Snow Falls on the Northern City, My Undercover Lover’s Return Is Nowhere in Sight

[A painter with bipolar disorder × a drug enforcement officer who seems cold but is warm inside] [Mutual salvation, healing, one-on-one romance]

Also known as Morning Dew for Xi

Snow falls again and again in Beicheng, like the countless sleepless nights of Zhaolu.

She is a lone bird trapped by bipolar disorder, repeatedly falling between the extremes of mania and depression, until she meets a man named Jiang Mingxi. He is an undercover drug enforcement officer who walks a knife’s edge, hiding his badge and his tenderness as he tears a shaft of light through the drug den. But at his most wretched moment, he stumbles into her shattered world.

He has seen her curled up and trembling in the middle of the night, and the fleeting light that kindles in her eyes. She has seen his weary face after he drops his disguise, and the restraint with which he turns himself into someone else for the sake of his mission.

He is her medicine, the only hand she dares to reach for in the darkness. She is his light, the reason he refuses to fall in the hell of the underworld. An undercover mission with life on the line, a love that blossoms on the edge of a cliff: when the lies about their identities are exposed and their guns are aimed at each other, can they hold on to the last warmth between them before the morning dew vanishes?

“Jiang Mingxi, it’s snowing again in Beicheng. You should come back.”

Will the snow stop? Will he return? She doesn’t know. She only knows that this time, she wants to live well for his sake.
