[Transmigration + System + Food + No Romance + Farming]
Shen Qingyuan woke up one day as a low-ranking concubine whom the late emperor had banished to the Cold Palace.
Lianzhi sobbed, “Your Highness, we haven't eaten in a whole day.”
Shen Qingyuan looked at the tiny plot of land in the Cold Palace, and her eyes lit up.
While everyone else who transmigrated got caught up in palace intrigue and family drama, she spent every day figuring out how to grow good vegetables on that little patch of land.
After finally turning the Cold Palace into a cozy home and making a good life for herself, she packed her bags and left the palace with her maid, Lianzhi.
From the capital to the vast lands of her country, from the Cozy Palace to little shops on the street, she used her own hands, a knife, and a wok to simmer the cooking skills of her past life and the warmth of human connection into the flavors of everyday life.
People laughed at her for turning her back on wealth and prestige, only to choose a life of wandering hardship.
She tossed the wok and smiled without a word. There was still so much delicious food in the world she hadn't tried. Who had time to compete with them?
The emperor's token was tucked against her chest, the empress dowager's prayer beads were on her wrist, and everyone at the Cozy Palace was waiting for her to come back and cook New Year's Eve dinner.
But all she wanted was to travel the land and bring all the flavors of life together in one pot.
Goldfinger's ancient food novel is generally quite heartwarming, with few intrigues and plots. Most of the plot is about growing vegetables and cooking in the palace, and only leaves the palace in the last 30 chapters. There are quite a few bugs, the biggest one being that the heroine purchases ingredients from the system, and no one cares where they come from. There are also a lot of dialogues that are narrated too objectively, giving the impression of a third person within a third person. The heroine gives me a faint sense of humanity, with low emotional fluctuations, and has her own set words when chatting with others.
My mouth is watering after reading this book, and each dish is written very carefully. The main dishes and side dishes are written so that people want to buy the ingredients and make one to satisfy their craving. Well written, give the author a thumbs up
It's fun, I like it, I can feel relaxed, and even though I'm traveling through time, it's quite inspiring😄
