Taking the Yellow River in the northwest as the background, it tells the story of Ling Xiao's life. His childhood grew up in the sand and flowers of the loess land. After his long-absent father returned home, he was severely beaten, scolded and verbally abused, leaving decades of hatred in his heart. He was rebellious and stumbled along the way, experiencing the ups and downs of friendship and love. Only after becoming a father did he get a glimpse of his father's clumsy love. When he returned home in his later years, he read about this twisted love in his father's diary, and finally reconciled with his lifelong obsession.
