High school student Di Sheng obtains the Death Note and judges criminals around the world under the name Kira, attempting to establish a new order of absolute justice. When the world’s greatest detective, L, appears to hunt him down, this battle of wits spanning life and death suddenly escalates. However, amid an endless series of schemes and countermoves, Di Sheng gradually loses sight of his original purpose and becomes willing to cross every line. After defeating L, even more troublesome successors, M and N, appear one after another, while a mysterious force lurking in the shadows turns the dead into pawns. When every rule is torn apart completely, the only “god” who sees through the truth will ultimately place the final piece on this blood-soaked chessboard in his own way.
