Main character: Lin Que, a 22-year-old college graduate who has given up on life and is so poor he can barely afford to eat. He accidentally awakens the yin-yang eyes passed down in his family and a System that makes him a temporary worker in the underworld. Delivering takeout is his main job; catching ghosts for yin virtue that he can exchange for money is his side gig. He’s timid as a sesame seed but has a mouth as quick as firecrackers, scraping by and catching ghosts through shamelessness, stubbornness, and petty tricks.
System: A cheeky System for temporary underworld workers. It assigns ghost-catching missions and rewards yin virtue, which can be exchanged for cash, magical artifacts, and talismans that save lives. Fail, and it deducts your lifespan, makes you put up ads in the underworld, or sends little ghosts to pester you. Its whole purpose is to mess with its Host.
World: The mortal realm is full of wronged souls, vicious ghosts, and strange spirits. There are ferocious evil ghosts, as well as eccentric ones: socially anxious ghosts, food-obsessed ghosts, heartbroken ghosts, directionless ghosts, and ghosts caught up in cutthroat competition. The underworld is poorly managed, its temporary workers are a mixed bag, and terrifying incidents are always resolved amid laughter.
