[Ancient Romance + Political Intrigue and Palace Schemes + All-Seeing Spirit Sight + Stunning Feng Shui Master + Suspenseful Power Struggles + Unhinged Regent + Formidable Rivals]
“The living can lie. The dead are pure.”
Shen Yuan, the cool and stunning female Imperial Preceptor, was born with eyes that see both yin and yang. She can perceive the worlds of the living and the dead, hear the voices of ghosts, and overturn wrongful convictions for the deceased.
Gu Yan, the blood-soaked Regent of Dayin, has killed countless people. He is a living King of Hell, feared by all.
When they first meet, he sneers, “I’ve killed countless people. Why should I fear a few vengeful ghosts?”
Later, as cases of living people being sacrificed to veins of power plague the capital and ghosts roam the streets, he shields her and clumsily shoves a peachwood sword into her hands. “I gave you this sword for protection, not for chopping firewood!”
When her identity as a surviving descendant of the former dynasty is exposed, the whole world wants her dead.
Gu Yan burns the imperial genealogy in front of everyone, takes off his princely robes, and protects her, her eyes streaming with blood, with all his might.
“So what if you’re blind? From now on, I’ll be your eyes.”
“Whoever wants this empire can have it. Lay a hand on my A Yuan, and I’ll make sure you all go to the grave with her!”
This is the first time I have seen a book like this. The writing is good and the rating will come up quickly. It's somewhat similar to Yan Sanhe's, but more fantasy.
