Xie Wenyuan: Rise of the Underworld

[Violent Underworld] [Suit-Wearing Thug] [Cultured Scum]

“Adjusting my glasses is a habit. Slitting throats is my profession.”

Xie Wenyuan has always believed himself to be a reasonable, respectable man.

Even when issuing an order to wipe out an entire family, he would still gently push up the gold-rimmed glasses on his nose, a harmless smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

It began in a dark, damp alley in H City, reeking of rot;

It began with a ballpoint pen piercing a local gangster’s palm;

It began with the cold, hard military spike hidden in his sleeve, never exposed to the light.

With a band of desperadoes who followed the rules but refused to accept their fate, Xie Wenyuan carved out an entry ticket to the global table of power from the cracks of a turbulent age.

To his brothers, he is “Brother Yuan,” who spends money like water;

To his rivals, he is the ever-present nightmare known as the “Cultured Asura”;

He is the ultimate mastermind, moving between the worlds of law and crime, with both business rules and underworld codes at his fingertips.

In this dog-eat-dog jungle, he believes in no god. He believes only in himself.

He has no use for morality. He is the rule.

“If this world is destined to be a bloody game, then I’ll be the one who flips the board.”
