Turbulence sweeps through the martial world. The Great Yin dynasty is in decline, the escort agencies divide the realm among themselves, and undercurrents roil through the martial arts world. Lin Feng, an orphan of the Qingyang Escort Agency, carries a tattered banner and bears the bloodline of the Black Armor. He sets out on the road to vengeance.
The Blood River Stronghold massacres a village, leaving behind half a coin. Corpses drift through the Dark River as a string of murders unfolds. The Dragon Abyss Sword appears, and heroes contend for supremacy. Lin Feng faces water ghouls alone, breaks through an array of mechanisms, and exposes the hidden schemes of Guizang, drawing ever closer to the truth.
Where the escort banner points, blood and rain cannot obscure the righteousness it represents. With a single spear thrust, he shatters wind and thunder; on a white horse, he rides through the snow. Leading the Righteous Alliance, he defies fate, destroys the phantom of the Dragon Abyss, and ends a century-old calamity, ultimately becoming an unknown hero.
