Are You Kidding? You Call This a Barefoot Doctor?

[Alternate-history China + ancient martial arts heritage + arrival of a miracle doctor + equally matched leads]

Shen Qinghe, the mysterious village doctor of Daqingshan Village, is a mild-mannered, frail “walking medicine jar” in the eyes of the villagers.

That is, until a mysterious elite unit, arrogant and high-handed, barges in.

They brazenly force their way into a forbidden area, only to crawl back to the Shen family’s medicine clinic in a sorry state.

Their leader, Gao Zhan, declares arrogantly, “Save them. Name your price!”

Without even looking up, Shen Qinghe replies, the scent of medicinal herbs cool on his fingertips: “I don’t treat those who don’t trust me. Want to live? Kneel and follow my rules.”

From then on, the worldviews of these top-tier experts are shattered.

Their state-of-the-art equipment can’t last three seconds in Shen Qinghe’s medicinal formations;

their meticulous plans are child’s play in the face of Shen Qinghe’s schemes.

Gao Zhan finally realizes that every last person in Daqingshan Village is a hidden master, and Shen Qinghe is the only “god” here.

“Doctor Shen, I admit defeat.”

With red-rimmed eyes, Gao Zhan pins him against the wall of the medicine clinic, his voice both humble and obsessive: “Since you saved me, don’t even think about letting go of me for the rest of my life!”
