Divorced with a Child, She Tests the Restraint of a Celibate Officer

[1970s setting, no rebirth, no transmigration, adorable child, devoted husband]

“Song Zhihuan, you’ve got a child in tow and still think you can get married? Just wait until you starve to death in the cowshed!” her ex-husband yelled, waving the ration booklet.

Song Zhihuan clutched her freshly issued divorce certificate and hugged her little one. “Don’t worry about me. The men chasing me could line up all the way to the village store!”

She turned around, only to find Lu Ye, the regiment commander known throughout the compound for having no interest in women, cornering her against a wall.

“Comrade Song, why not give me a chance? I’ll hand over my whole allowance, take care of all the housework, and look after the child.”

Song Zhihuan blushed and pushed at his chest. “Commander Lu, aren’t you celibate?”

“That depends on who we’re talking about.” The man pinned her firmly against the wall. “When it comes to you, I want to break the rules every day.”

So what if she’s remarried and has a child in the 1970s? Commander Lu still spoils her until she’s the sweetest darling in the whole military district!
