Lin Pang, a migrant worker, struggles to survive in a magical yet realistic city. He not only has to face workplace infighting and rising rents, but also has to deal with the serial farce caused by his best friends, landlords and all kinds of neighbors. The arrival of Su Wanqing adds color to the ordinary life, and the two gradually get closer amidst the lively and chaotic life storm. Everyone stumbles in their own world, but they also find their own temperature and direction in the constant pull between reality and dreams. The whole story uses a humorous style to depict the tenacity and softness of a group of ordinary people in the urban torrent, and uses the absurdity and warmth of life as the background to show the laughter, tears and growth of modern urbanites on their way to pursuing their dreams.
