I am Chen Jiuwang, the last heir of Maoshan’s Du Sha Hall.
My left eye is scarlet, able to see baleful energy; my right eye is icy blue, able to peer into souls. I draw talismans with my left hand to suppress evil, and wield a sword in my right to slay the wicked.
I do not worship gods or Buddhas, make no bonds of goodwill, redeem no evil men, and save no one who refuses to see reason.
When a hundred ghosts roamed Jiangcheng by night, I faced them alone with my sword and broke their encircling formation.
When baleful forces stirred across the nation and the Xuanyin Alliance plunged the land into chaos, I traversed the Nine Provinces and subdued every menace under heaven.
The world begs me to save them from suffering and disaster. I only say:
I subdue evil, not people.
