A timeless ballad begins beneath the fading sun at the end of the Tang and ends amid the flying snow of Bianliang.
He came from a thousand years in the future, traversed the flames of war through the Five Dynasties, and witnessed the bones scattered across a world in chaos. He also helped a great ruler lay the foundations of a century of the Song dynasty.
On a snowy night, entrusted with a child, he kept his promise and went to his death. With his life alone, he barred the final floodgate of the Five Dynasties' troubled age.
Snow has fallen on Bianliang for a thousand years. The histories erased every trace of him. Only that jade pendant remained, keeping the promise between him and her, waiting for him all her life.
This time, he returns through the snow, determined to protect this vast land and the old friend he holds in his heart.
