[A fresh new premise]+ [Ensemble cast at school]+ [Fiery, high-octane action]
Others go to northern Myanmar to make money, get guns, and risk their lives!
Lu Yuan goes to northern Myanmar to teach as a volunteer, and even has to hand over his salary?
Seriously, how can that be? I’ve got to write a little post to vent!
And so
[Day 1]: I just got here, my luggage was stolen, my students were kidnapped, and the classroom was burned down. What’s a helpless scholar like me supposed to do?
[Day 3]: I’ve decided to teach my students how to fight. No, how to defend themselves! I’m a respectable teacher, after all!
[Day 8]: The Black Sand Gang came to collect protection money again, but the students turned the tables and collected it from them instead. I’m so proud to see them learning how to make money.
[Day 30]: We raided a compound today and seized several thousand W. What a great social studies field trip. Why hasn’t anyone sent us a commendation banner?
[Day XX]: I don’t know why, but suddenly everyone’s calling me the “King of Northern Myanmar.” I looked down at my staff ID
“Lu Yuan, Homeroom Teacher, Class 3, Grade 11”
I smiled.
What era are we living in? There’s no such thing as a king or a tyrant. I’m just doing what little I can to bring peace to the region.
Principal: Other people need research papers to get promoted. Lu Yuan needs territory.
Northern Myanmar Education Bureau: Other teachers have students everywhere. Lu Yuan has underlings all over northern Myanmar.
Students: Our final exam question? “Discuss how to speedrun a compound in three days.”
