Wang Tiezhu transmigrates after jumping off a building and is taken in by the Bull Demon King. Later, because of Princess Iron Fan, the Bull Demon King adopts him as his sworn son.
Eight years pass in the blink of an eye, and Wang Tiezhu becomes the Red Spirit Great King, a menace to the region who devours humans and demons alike and commits all manner of evil. He later plays a trick on the Dragon Girl and the Monkey King, teaches Red Boy the Samadhi True Fire, and finally withdraws into his cave to live in seclusion, feeling the weight of his sins... until Princess Iron Fan comes to his door in tears.
“My son! That monkey harmed your sworn brother, stole my treasure fan, and joined forces with the gods and Buddhas to bully your father. This is too much! You have to stand up for your mother...”
Dressed in a crimson robe of blazing Daoist fire and wearing golden-threaded red-cloud boots, Wang Tiezhu suddenly opens his eyes. Two beams of fiery red light shoot from them.
“Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun... Wu... kong...”
