In the year 2058, thirty years have passed since the "revival of spiritual energy". That year, the earth's crust changed drastically, the concentration of global psychic energy skyrocketed, animals and plants began to mutate, and the first batch of warriors awakened among humans. The old scientific and technological order collapsed, and various countries rebuilt a civilization system with "martial arts" as the core on the ruins.
Today's world consists of one hundred and eight "base cities". Each base city is made of reinforced concrete, surrounded by dozens of kilometers of wilderness restricted areas, where alien beasts are rampant and dangers are everywhere. Cities are connected by heavily escorted "psychic trains", and ordinary people may not be able to step outside their cities throughout their lives.
