Special Forces Soldier in Ancient Times: From the Start, I’m Raiding Estates to Repay Debts

Shen Yan, a former special forces king, transmigrates to the Great Yan Dynasty and ends up a low-ranking flag officer in the Pacification Bureau. He's not only a good-for-nothing, but also saddled with a debt of three million taels of silver. From the start, he's trapped in a seemingly hopeless situation. Fortunately, he awakens the [Suicide to Pay Off Debts System]: if he gets himself killed in a dangerous situation, he can revive in the modern era with trillions in assets; if he survives and brings down his target, he can seize their wealth to pay off his debt and summon a modern shadow special forces unit.

To “go home,” Shen Yan embarks on a spree of suicidal stunts: he kicks down the chief minister's door and uses C4 to blast open his underground treasury, forcing him to pay up; he sneaks into the palace chambers of the reborn empress and has the shadow unit “physically exorcise” her with a minigun, shattering her worldview until she begs him to take her in; when a vassal prince rebels with an army of a hundred thousand, Shen Yan rushes to the front lines seeking death, only for a shadow sniper to blow the prince's head off from afar, causing the hundred thousand troops to mutiny and surrender.

Though Shen Yan only wants to die, his modern firepower and cunning let him crush court officials, scheming eunuchs, and calculating imperial consorts through sheer superiority. He confiscates the wealth of every corrupt official in the realm, establishes the Great Yan Central Bank, and takes control of the nation's economic lifeline. In the end, the Pacification Bureau's commander kneels and begs him to ascend the throne, the princesses fall for him, and Shen Yan is forcibly draped in the imperial robe. He looks up at the sky and sighs, “I only wanted to return to the modern world. How did I end up becoming an emperor for the ages?”
