I Defied Heaven to Save My Brother, but He Became a World-Destroying Fallen Spirit

[No CP + two equally strong leads + brotherhood + redemption + love and mutual destruction + closest kin turned enemies + obsessive and unhinged + defying heaven to resurrect someone + family destroyed + revenge + dark]

Xie Yan knew the anguish of losing his family from a very young age.

His younger brother, Xie Chen, was the only light in his pitch-black life. That faint but burning light was all he had to cling to through countless years of darkness.

But Heaven refused to grant him even that last glimmer of hope.

The day Xie Chen died a miserable death, blood stained Xie Yan's vision and extinguished the last warmth in his heart. In that moment, all the kindness, tenderness, and compassion left in Xie Yan died along with the boy's fading breath amid a sea of blood.

A man who has crawled back from hell has no weakness left.

From then on, Xie Yan donned a mask of gentleness and propriety. A warm smile forever graced his features, but beneath that facade lurked a bone-deep selfishness and ruthlessness.

Everything he did had only one purpose: to bring his younger brother, Xie Chen, back to life.

Years passed, and the world changed. At last, Xie Yan gathered everything he needed and defied Heaven's will with a forbidden art, calling Xie Chen's soul back.

When the person in pajamas, still looking like a boy, slowly opened his clear eyes and smiled tenderly at him, softly uttering that familiar “Big Brother,” Xie Yan stood frozen, his eyes instantly reddening.

At last, he had waited long enough. His light had returned.

But when he finally touched that familiar figure, a chill inexplicably crept into his heart.

Something seemed to have changed completely.
