The Heretical Magical Girl

[No Marriage] [Satisfying Battles] [Light Novel] [Slice of Life]

Songyuan City has magical girls, and it has calamity beasts.

Yes, nothing unusual about that: adorable girls in petite bodies protect the world as they fight against gigantic calamity beasts.

Songyuan City is also home to a number of urban legends.

Some say that late at night, in the dark alleys, you can sometimes glimpse a ghost emerging from the shadows.

Others say that strange monsters lurk in the city, and anyone they target vanishes from the world the next day.

Vampires, serial killers, nightmares, fox spirits, demons... Things from all kinds of fantastical tales, known as anomalies, really exist, and together they weave the story of this world.

And of Ye Mo Ran's story.

A gemstone and an accident led to something unique in all the world happening to Ye Mo Ran.

He became a magical girl.

An anomaly unlike any ordinary magical girl, she can grow infinitely stronger by devouring calamity beasts.

This world has a forbidden concept known as “Reversal.”

It is the fallen state of a magical girl. Completely Reversed magical girls become twisted in personality, abandon the justice and dreams they once upheld, and willingly sink into the abyss.

After transforming, Ye Mo Ran was detected by the Magic Association as already bearing traces of Reversal.

And then, one more name appeared on the wanted list.

She was hunted by the entire world.
