Lin Wanyin dies of stress while taking the CET-6 exam. When she opens her eyes, she finds herself in a primitive beastfolk world where females are scarce, transformed into a delicate, pitiful little female sparrow.
As soon as she takes human form, her tribe forcibly assigns her husbands in a polyandrous marriage. Every one of them is possessive and dangerously unhinged.
Terrified, she flaps her little wings and flees in the middle of the night. But before she gets far, they all surround her.
The domineering Eagle Clan husband gives a dark, sinister laugh:
"Once your wings are broken, you'll be mine forever."
The cunning Fox Clan husband smiles gently, cruelly:
"Don't like having multiple husbands? Then I'll kill the others and be the only one left."
Her jealous husband fixes her with an icy stare:
"If you look at someone else one more time, I'll destroy him."
Even her childhood friend has turned into a demon:
"I don't want the whole world. I only want you, even if I have to lock you up for the rest of your life."
Lin Wanyin trembles:
"I only ran away from an arranged marriage. Do you really have to go this far?!"
The beastfolk chuckle, madly and devoutly:
"We do. Your life and your heart have always belonged to us, and to us alone."
