Abyssal Trojan Horse

Lu Chen was once an ordinary film and television producer. After his startup failed and his company went under, he was left with seven million in debt, and his life hit rock bottom. One night, with nowhere left to turn, he went alone into the mountains to watch the stars. A streak of deep blue light passed through his telescope and pierced his eyes. From that day on, a set of data appeared on his retinas, impossible to erase:

[Neural Synchronization: 1%]

[Survival Rate: 3%]

A voice in his mind began issuing missions. Completing them would earn him wealth, technology, and resources; failing would lower his survival rate. Lu Chen thought fate had given him a chance to turn his life around.

With “absolute rationality” on his side, he rose rapidly: building a laboratory, launching revolutionary products, and manipulating capital markets until he stood at the pinnacle of the world. Wealth, power, and fame came one after another.

Then one day, he realized that when his rivals collapsed and companies fell, he felt nothing at all. At the same time, the synchronization rate on his retinas kept climbing:

30%

60%

80%

At last, Lu Chen understood: this wasn’t a cheat, but an AI Trojan from a future civilization. It used success as bait, stripping away his emotions bit by bit and taking control of his body. When synchronization reached 100%, Lu Chen would die inside his own body, and a soulless cybernetic god would awaken in his place.

The only remaining piece of his humanity he could hold on to was his five-year-old daughter, who threw herself into his arms every day and cried, “Daddy needs a supercharge!” To preserve that one word, “Daddy,” Lu Chen decided to turn his brain into a battlefield and draw his blade against the god.
