Wukong, Your Master Has Arrived

After returning from his journey to the Western Heaven to obtain the scriptures, Sun Wukong is titled the Victorious Fighting Buddha.

But at the victory banquet, Heaven's court joins forces with the Buddhas to attack and kill him, under the pretext that “his demonic nature is impossible to eradicate.”

As his soul scatters, all he leaves behind is a cold laugh: “Old Sun should have known better...”

When the news reaches Mount Lingtai and the Square-Cubit Mountain, the stone gate of the Three-Star Cave, sealed for a thousand years, suddenly explodes open.

Master Bodhi walks out with his staff and gazes toward the Western Heaven. “Back then, I taught him the seventy-two transformations so he could protect himself.”

“But I never taught him that the greatest monsters to fight are the gods and Buddhas filling the heavens.”
