Core setup: The male lead is a retired detective turned private investigator. After his younger sister mysteriously disappeared three years ago, he was framed while investigating the case and forced to leave the police. He opened a late-night detective agency that takes cases the police refuse, including cold cases and murders disguised as supernatural incidents. The female lead is a forensic pathologist and trace-evidence expert. Cool and sharp-tongued but deeply empathetic, she is the only partner the male lead trusts. The second male lead is a former teammate from the detective squad. Upright but constrained by the system, he secretly passes leads to the male lead. The antagonist is the mastermind behind the entire story, codenamed the Puppeteer. He manipulates the perpetrators of every minor case and is directly connected to the disappearance of the male lead’s sister.
