The first time Qin entered the System space, he heard the System say, [I won't kill you]. Only much later did he understand that the System had said, [KILL ME].
When he finally entered the System space's central control room, he saw Executive A. This was the System's true form. He should have known all along.
His hand trembled as he raised his gun, but he didn't hesitate.
He knew he was nothing more than the sharpest, yet most easily rusted, cog in the Federation's machinery.
