I took a job as a GM at a game company no one had ever heard of.
I thought I’d just be handing out items from the backend, muting cheaters, and fixing bugs.
Until I discovered
The GM privileges I used in the game could directly affect the real world.
Spawn gold = money deposited into my bank account.
Adjust level = a massive boost to my physical abilities.
Unlock map = hidden opportunities appear in real-world locations.
Mute a player = make someone shut up in real life.
Resurrection skill = bring the dead back to life and restore the flesh of the living.
Full-map vision = see through every scheme at a glance.
From then on, the city became a newbie village, the big shots became mobs, and conspiracies became quests.
While everyone else fought tooth and nail to climb higher, I simply opened the GM control panel.
You want to play mind games with me?
I’ll wipe all your buffs with one click.
You want to act like a big shot?
I’ll just call on my administrator privileges.
The whole world thinks I’m a hidden prodigy, a divine child sent from the heavens.
Only I know the truth:
Sorry, I’m just a GM who’s playing with cheats enabled.
