Wasteland Gold Rush: The Middle Eastern Scrap Empire

At thirty-five, Lin Dong was a bachelor from northern Anhui, crushed by bride-price demands and driven to the end of his rope by life. He plunged headfirst into the inferno of the Middle East in 2025. Joint US-Israeli airstrikes reduced Iran and Syria to wastelands. While others dodged shells, he collected their casings: scrap metal was worth more than human lives. He traded military wreckage for bread and electrical wire for fresh water.

Starting with nothing but a set of scales, he carved out a way to survive in the gaps between artillery strikes and built a scrap empire spanning three countries. This is an epic of survival in chaotic times, following an ordinary man from the lowest rung of society. It shows how poverty cannot break a determined spirit, and how even in a world gone mad, you can still live with dignity.
