Yan Xiao was born in Qingzhu Village on the edge of the wilderness. His family was surrounded by poverty and he was bullied all the time.
She and Ma Danlin have known each other since childhood, and they are childhood sweethearts who protect each other and are the only light in the darkness.
The village was attacked by monsters/evil cultivators and the whole village was in danger. Ma Danlin was forcibly taken away by the mysterious old man in white robes, leaving only one sentence:
"She has divine blood that does not belong to us. She will die if she stays here."
